US forces storm Iranian 'consulate '

It's one of their unofficial consulates they've been throwing up in various areas.

Of course they are outraged that anyone would violate the sanctity of a diplomatic mission.

Hmmm.  Iran's current leader figurehead for the ayatollah can't complain, can he?   laugh

All I can say is that I am sorry was not a part of the entry team.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

From the article in the BBC

Quote
Tehran said the attack violated all international conventions.

Pot.  Kettle.  Black.
I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

Their 'consulate' eh? More like a forward military staging point!

Yes, I'm angry about this. How this is not seen as an overt declaration of war against both the Iranians and the United States is beyond me. Just acknowledge the obvious, already!

Let the Iranians be angry.  the real problem is that this happened in a Kurd-controlled city, and nobody told the Kurdish "militias" about it.  Now the only (reasonably) solid allies we have in that country are mad at us.
