AG Jeff Sessions revealed tonight in an interview with Shannon Bream, that he previously appointed a DOJ official to investigate the issues delivered by Chairman Bob Goodlatte (House Judiciary), prior to receiving the request for a Special Counsel from Chairman Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy.

I am not entirely sure what all this means other than it looks like Sessions has been investigating some of this stuff behind the scenes separate from the IG and special prosecutor.

Other than that, the interview with Sessions is interesting to watch.
