More evidence that the ancients were more advanced than previously thought.

Why is this a surprise? The ancients were just as smart as us and had years to develop the skills and education needed to improve their use of the resources they had.

They were competent people doing what they thought needed to be done. Is the expectation that they just sat around in mud huts completely baffled as to how to improve their conditions?

Artifacts from Central America have been found in the Mississippi Valley and people were shocked. Shocked! Because the ancients didn't know how to walk or build ships or trade apparently.
