cosine, you really need to lighten up on the Princess Leia thing.  I think we all liked her for being good-lookin' and spunky and courageous and feminine all at the same time.  We just like to make fun of you, is all.

Nightfall, that's why I posted these pictures.  I wanted everyone to know that I'm WAY better lookin' than old gravelly-voice.    laugh

Fistful,

I don't care what Tom Jones says ... that picture is unusual.

But now that you posted these pics, fistful, it's allllll over. I'll never think of Eastwood again when I see your posts.  grin

The way this thread is going, it's more like "A Fistful of Quatloos" at this point.

Mmmmm. Wonder how many quatloos for the evening?

Let me share the story behind the Tom Jonesiness of that picture.  While on our honeymoon, my wife and I were haunting some antique stores.  One of the "antiques" we bought was this atrocious Tom Jones fancruft pamphlet with pictures, an interview, etc.  This was a gag gift for my sister, but it turns out she has an in-law who likes Tom Jones, so it worked out pretty well.

Anyway, in the interview with Tom Jones, as you might expect, he was asked if he ever slept in the nude.   undecided  His answer, "It's not unusual."   Gotta love it.

fistful,

It's like that old joke ...

A doctor sees a patient who complains of randomly breaking out into songs like Funny Familiar Forgotten Feelings and Sex Bomb.  The doctor diagnoses the patient with Tom Jones Syndrome.  The patient asks if it is a rare affliction, to which the doctor replies "It's not unusual."

Quatloo?

I wager 5000 Quatloos that no one clues the newcomer Fistful into what a Quatloo is.

OK, then.  On to my next question.  Is that Jane Fonda of Barbarella fame?

Oh, this is a horrible measure of geekage.

The character was "Shahna," played by one Angelique Pettyjohn, deceased: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0678821/

Also known as "Heaven St. John," and "Angel St. John," she had an unusual career: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0678821/bio

Related?

Photo two is a character, "Jerri Blank," done by Amy Sedaris in "Strangers With Candy," a cult cable hit.

Styles, I'm starting to climb up on the Gewher98/Otto bandwagon.  Surely you must have other things to do.

My Halloween costume from a couple of years ago.  I just sat there until the kids were ripe for frightening.  CAnnoneer's evil laugh would appropriate at this point.  It's amazing how much you can frighten someone just by turning your head in their direction.   grin

The funny part was that I was looking all over the place for a plain vanilla mask that wasn't scary.  I finally found a Jimmy Carter mask of all things.  I figured the kids would be too young to know how scary he really is.

Joke pre-emption:  Yes, I know the mask is a big improvement.

What's scary is you were willing to wear a Jimmy Carter mask. Indicative of your suppressed leftism?  Tongue
