Looking for Trigger recommendations
« on: December 31, 2018, 01:37:40 AM »
So I'm slowly building out an AR-10 in 6.5 Creedmoor.  Intended purpose is a 1000 yard gun to practice my longer range game.   So as the title says, I'm looking for recommendations for the trigger.  Looking for a 2-stage, 3.5-4.5 lb pull weight (or adjustable), and ideally under $200.  I've heard lots of good things about the Geiselle triggers, but if there's something out there better for the same price, or as good for cheaper, I'd love to hear about it.

You won't find anything better than Geiselle for an AR trigger.  There are several other good brands, some are cheaper, but none are any better.

I have SSA and Tricon triggers in my ARs and they are excellent.  My rifles aren't long-range precision platforms, but I think the triggers are good enough to work there.

I agree with Fly.  I've got two SSA-E and an SSA in my ARs.  Hard to beat and very durable.  If you want a good trigger that you can actually depend on, I'd recommend Geissele.

I have a Jewell trigger in my AR. It took a little more effort to adjust initially than some "drop in" triggers, but the pull is worth it. It's been both stable and totally reliable over some thousands of rounds in varying conditions.
