So, looks like Northam has said that he's NOT going to resign and that he's going to use the remaining 3 years of his term to go on a continuous Great Virginia Blackface Minstrel Tour.

I wonder if he'll moonwalk... I'd pay to see that.


Oh, and also, the guy who said that he was going to bring charges of impeachment against the Lt. Gov. today if he didn't resign?

They're backing off now because they've realized that by pushing it would hand the state over to the GOP.
If it was just the gov they would be pushing hard but now that it's the top three.........

They can't let only the Lt. Gov. take the fall in this or the Democrats will lose support from the black community.

They can't let only the Governor resign, because the Atty. General is guilty of the exact same "crime".

They can't force the Governor out of office because he hasn't committed an actual crime.

So, it looks like they're going to go with "sweep it all under a rug and claim it's all in the past and therefore no big deal" and just rely on the press to cover for them when they accuse a Republican of much lesser crimes. (or "crimes" as in the case of the Gov. and AG.) And just whistle past the #metoo implications.

They were all ready to scalp the gov to set an example for going after Trump and Kavanaugh but when it became apparent that all three of the top dems would then have to go and that would leave the Rs in charge the matter got swept under the rug
