There were, but I don't think they were classified as combat troops. Security, advisors, etc..., would be my guess.

Wasn't that what they supposedly were, to begin with.

I didn't remember a pullout that soon.  I do remember that my draft classification in 1973 was 1H.  H for "holding".

At induction we had a guy freak out because he WOULDN'T be shipping out to Nam. This was January 76. The folks at the induction center told him the last of our troops were either out or on their way out at that point.
