Bill Nye To Dress Up As Real Scientist For Halloween

Quote
“I’ve always wanted to be a real scientist, and I have the perfect costume,” said Nye, best known for playing the title role on the 1990’s Saturday morning children’s program Bill Nye The Science Guy. “I already have a lab coat and bow tie that make me look super science-y.”

Quote
When asked if he plans to spend any time on Halloween launching misinformed, condescending attacks on people who disagree with him politically or philosophically, he replied, “No, that’s not something a real scientist would do.”

“It is much more important to kill bad bills than to pass good ones.”  ― Calvin Coolidge

I was going to go as a  democrat but I can't get my head up my ass.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

I 'member going out with a suit and tie and horn rimmed glasses, and a Fedora hat with a prominent Daily Planet Press card stuck in the band.

A GF of mine dressed up as Rosie the Riveter, complete with coveralls, red bandana, fake Union buttons and patriotic buttons I printed up for her.  She won the contest.  I'msure it was because of the skill I used in faking the buttons.

I, me, I don't do any costuming any more, since people just think I'm an overage Hippie anyhow in my regular garb. My pony tail is getting a little thin, though. :)

Shortly after I finished my hitch in the service, my parents went to a Halloween party.  Dad dressed up as a brick layer, wearing overalls with "Rose City Bricklaying" or some such company name on them.  They were from a real masonry company in the Portland area.
My mother went dressed up as a brick.  I've chuckled about that for years.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Bill Nye To Dress Up As Real Scientist For Halloween

I guess Mr. Nye dressing up as a mechanical engineer (BS Cornell), wouldn't have the same impact.
