So we had some high winds last night and lost power for a few hours.
After the power was restored, I awoke to an odd buzzing sound at 3 am. Traced it to the air handler in the attic.
After turning off the power to it and restoring power again, the buzzing remained. I made sure the blowers and whatnot were still functional by turning up the heat and it both took in and blew out air.
As we are neither cold not hot enough to worry about it, I just kept the air handler off in the fuse box.
Any ideas what might be causing the buzz and whether I should get an HVAC specialist to look at it/how much it will cost me to do so? (I need to call one anyway as our attic exhaust fan has been squealing of late. Unless, of course, someone can point me on what to do about that, too.)
