Prepare to go down the rabbit hole as you start to look at old airports.

I managed to extract myself from that website, but only with difficulty.  I'm sure to go back.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

  • But they're SUPPOSED to be "military-style."

I didn't see it on any of the old maps and photos in the second link, but Stapleton (Denver) Airport had a runway which ran over I-70.  I wonder if anyone should mention this to the website.

Scared the hell out of Wife1 and myself as we happened to be coming up (eastbound) on this underpass and this jet zoomed over it.

When the airport closed after DIA opened, we used to have timed trials in SCCA Rocky Mountain Solo racing courses  laid out on the tarmac.  Both my sons raced their Datsuns 240Z and 280Z there.  Finally the whole thing was closed up for development.
