Hang tough.  We are set for more rain.  Just what we need.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area will be getting 12-20 inches of snow by Friday AM. Clean up from the weekend storm is just about done. What timing! This one will be much worse because of the work week. Commutes will suck. Thank god the girlfriend and I live less than two miles from our jobs. The best hope now is for so much snow that they shut down the metro area.

It's a good thing I don't have much going on the next couple of days. A trip to St Cloud, MN tomorrow afternoon and a Drs Appt Fri afternoon in the Twin Cities. We had several 18+" drifts from the last storm. Took me THREE hours to clear the driveway from the last storm and THAT was WITH a two stage snowblower!!  shocked

We still have about 100k without power in Iowa, some might be out a total of two weeks. I was driving down to Des Moines for class after work and there was about 40 boom trucks heading north on I-35. All of them looked like they had Missouri plates and with PAR contractors. I hope the damage is minor after this storm coming. Weather forecast home said 1/4" of Ice, sleet, rain and 4-8" of wet snow through Friday. I know that 4-8" isn't much snow but last weekend the 9" in my yard had the consistency of ice cream.

Never mind, here it is!

Oh, and it's a nice cold rain too which will likely turn the entire State of Indiana into an ice skating ring about 9pm.

Let's see what does Mr. Google bring me in "professional licensing reciprocity Tejas and/or GWR"? grin

Looks like it's going to miss WI. (No, not that Miss Wisconsin).

40's tomorrow with rain. The snow on the ground should get pretty much melted.

I just came back from my trip to Chicago and Plymouth, WI.  Lots of snow up in WI.  Roads were fine.  Every place in Iowa across I-80 had the lights on.  Ditto Ill-annoy.

51* & sunny here when I got home this afternoon.  Rain this evening, snow later tonight.

We have to run up to Omaha for Dr appts tomorrow...prolly be OK.

I moved back to Wisconsin on purpose.

I don't really mind snow.

Nor do I mind rain.

I *hate* freezing rain.

I've been waiting to golf for a long time. I like snow a lot, but it's now that time of the year where the faster it's gone the better.

They closed the AF Base, so no Dr's appt or us today.

Snowing pretty heavy right now.  Some pretty heavy thunder an hour or so ago.

Glad I don't have a job to go to today.

I'll be on the snowblower for a few hours later, though.  Got our place, MIL's place, and SIL's place to do.

Interstates are closing here in Iowa. Pretty much every school is closed or closing early.

It is pouring down rain here in Ames, IA but soon should be switching to 2-3" an hour snow with 35mph winds.  I'm glad I only live 2 miles from work. Good news is ISU beat Nebraska in BB last night at Nebraska.

Freezing rain here this morning, then it switched to snow.  I spread an entire 40lb. bag of salt crystals on the driveway about 0630, so my wife would have a fighting chance to slip and slide at intersections with everybody else out there.   grin

I see most schools were at least 2 hours delayed, with some closed.  It's since warmed up, closer to 40 degrees, so that's a good thing before the next wave hits.

We have 8-10 inches in the Twin Cities metro area right now. A lot of schools/jobs were closing early today due to the snow. We might have a snow day tomorrow. Even high school hockey playoffs were cancelled.

It's a bad storm when they cancel hockey in Minnesota.

We've got a nice bit of fog here right outside of Milwaukee now. We got some 4 inches of snow last night (that's what it appeared to be on the driveway), but we didn't get as much rain today as I was expecting.

We got about 16 inches of snow over the last day. Lots of schools and businesses were closed in the Twin Cities area.

We did manage to walk to three blocks to the corner bar/restaurant for dinner tonight though. Watched cars slide through intersections when I went out for a smoke. So it wasn't too bad. Only in Minnesota.

What guns will you buy with all the FEMA checks you'll be receiving, bald?

I only wish...think about how funny that would sound:

Minnesota gets winter storm; FEMA checks for one and all!

Too bad most of us here are prepared/experienced with winter.

It's actually nice here today; 25 F and sunny. Wear your sunglasses today because the combination of bright white snow and sun is blinding!
