Dust bowl revisted - yuck.

Ugh - the wind is terrible here today.  It's not as bad as last Saturday when we were having 70 mph gusts, but 50 is dang sure enough!  Tumbleweeds, sand, and small children are blowing by at an alarming rate and the sky is solid brown. Blech.

Well it doesn't sound like you're losing anything important to the winds, so I say count your blessings and deal with it.

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

Whatever you do DON'T catch the children, just let them blow by. You'll thank me later...  grin

Just adding my griping here as well.

I can handle the 30 mph winds, but when it is sustaining 50 .....  That is getting rough.  We were doing that Saturday too.  Plus we had a blast of snow to go with it for a few minutes.  Then we are turning on the air conditioner by Tuesday.

What is that saying .... if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes.

Brad,

That is exactly what my mom was saying.  (She Lives in Odessa... where I was born and raised.)

Before I got married people would walk into my house and comment on how dusty it was.  The thing is when you are from Odessa and have Dust storms so bad you need to stop to let it pass, well you get immune to the dust inside the house.  Unless you walk around with a swiffer in your hand like some people carry a flyswatter.

I swear every time I talk to my mom the conversation starts like this

Me-Hey Mom whatcha doing
Mom-Just cleaning around the house and dusting....

That all that women does is dust the house.
