I've finally realized why they keep pushing him so hard. He's going to "succumb to the pressure" and pass away after the convention, so they can put some new fresh face in who will 'Win if for JOE!"

I don't see much else except keeping him around as a figurehead while his wife et al. run the country like with Wilson.

I hadn't even thought of that.  I wonder what the DNC rules are governing that situation.  Whatever they feel like making up I suppose.

It will be interesting to see who Biden (or his handlers) selects for Veep. After all, he could actually get elected, and then snuff it while in office.

At this point it wouldn't surprise me if that was the DNC's backroom strategy. I think that would actually make him a contender against Trump only because so many goofball Ds would vote that ticket specifically counting on Biden bailing, one way or another, sometime in his first term so their original "queen" can step in. From what's been coming out on him, Biden seems just slimy enough to go along with it.

The biggest concern with Bernie isn't that he's a socialist. (And, specifically, it's because they say it's the reason that I don't believe them. Leftists native tongue is lies.)

The biggest concern is that he doesn't get out the black vote. He could lose a significant percentage of the black vote to Donald Trump. IF those black voters decide the Republicans are actually benefiting them more and lead to even just 20% of the black vote going to Republicans, the Democrats would be finished.

So, they need someone to parachute in and secure black enthusiasm. Hence, Michelle Obama.

Also securing us our status as a burgeoning banana republic.
