Want info on modding a Stevens mod. 320
« on: June 10, 2020, 11:51:32 PM »
I recently bought DW a Stevens youth model 320 in 20ga w/an 18" barrel.  We haven't fired it yet, so can't say anything about that, but it does seem to be a nice enough firearm.  I would like to make it better though.

There are a lot of add-ons for it, none of which we're really interested in.  She doesn't want a light, pistol grip or such.  I would like to smooth the action and trigger, like I did to my .30-30.  For the .30-30 I was able to find a lot of info online about what to look at & for, what to polish and how much, recommendations for spring replacements etc.  Doing some work on the .30-30 made a huge difference.  I can't seem to find anything like that for this shotgun.

Any of y'all have suggestions or links on how to smooth the action, make it even more reliable etc?  She's not going hunting for anything larger than turtles - unless some two legged animal decides to enter her domain.  That said, I would like to find a longer barrel, just in case she changes her mind.
