Some days are just better than others

Today was kind of an easy day for us (I know every day is easy when you're unemployed.... laugh)...so I took my boy fishing.  We hit a little pond, and found some willing bluegill.  The importance is that these were his first fish!  Brave little man even held them while I unhooked them.  Second bigger one wiggled out of his hands so he scooped him up to toss him back over the railing!

Love it! I spent a good part of my youth fishing for bluegills in No. VA farm ponds. This is sure to give him many years of good memories.

There's nuttin better than that!  I've got access to a little farm pond that's loaded with bluegills and 1-2 lb LM bass.  My girls love it. They were asking me just the other day about going.
