I think I posted previously about the cable company's shenanigans in repairing my cable Internet after hurricane Ida took town all my utilities at the start of September. I'm still trying to get some action from them over having required me to skip a day of work in order to be home, even though the repair was to the cable from the street to the house -- and then they blew off the appointment.
Now they have upped the ante -- I paid bills last night, and my cable bill for that period included an $80 charge for a "missed appointment" -- on a date when there was no appointment. And the monthly amount also mysteriously jumped up from $79.13 tp $113.49.
Verizon hasn't brought their service to my area yet -- and doesn't seem to have any plans to do so. There's got to be some other option. I'm sick of trying to deal with this cable company. I know cable companies in general are lower than whal scat at the bottom of the ocean, but this company even gives cable companies a bad name.
What else is out there -- anything?
