Just starting it. I heard Jordan Peterson talking about eating only meat and he got the idea from his daughter. She had a bunch of health problems that disappeared when she ate only meat.

The first few minutes she is spouting a bunch of BS statistics that don't sound correct even though I have never heard them. I am certain they would be shown as crap upon detailed examination. Also, I don't think she has ever spent any significant time around either farm animals or wild animals.

If the Almighty didn't want us to eat animals, why did He make them out of meat?

Is it true the word "Vegetarian" has its roots in an old Native American expression meaning "Bad Hunter?"

The best place for many animals is on my plate, right next to the mashed potatoes.

All kidding aside, I DO eat veggies - I eat salad nearly every day, I include bell peppers and onions when I make fajitas at home, I'll much on an apple from time to time, and so forth and so on. But meat IS, and will REMAIN, one of my staples.

Some of these nuts take it even further. Vets report sick and/or dying cats because their vegan owners decided their cat needed to be vegan too.
May I suggest getting a rabbit for a pet instead of a pure carnivore next time

For 25 years my political litmus test was guns. They want to ban them zero support because I know I will hate their other ideas too.

Now I have moved on to environmental issues which I care a good bit about. If they don’t support as many nuke plants as can be built they are unserious lying grifters and zero support from me.

The meat thing is newer but I have seen stuff for at least five years. Always with the cow farts and you could grow so much more organic kale with that same land because obviously all farmland is an interchangeable multi use tile in a sim game. Support or practice voluntary vegetarian ideas as much as you want. But the end goal is always control. And anyone I hear trying to tell us what we can eat will inevitably pivot to deciding who can eat.

You can graze animals on arid land that would be completely unsuitable for farming due to weather or other factors.

If food was that expensive you would see a lot more effort put into home gardens and green houses around cities.

Looks like Oxford Union posted several videos of the speakers.

It isn't such a bad way to do things. Instead of a bunch of back and forth sniping, just speak for 10 minutes or so. Reminds me of the RNC debate a few years back where each candidate spoke and answered questions for 30 minutes one on one with a questioner.

I am reminded of an outing of one of my Jeep clubs a number of years ago. After a trail ride, we all went to an all-you-can-eat chicken dinner place. The place is huge, and always packed. Basically, for a flat fee you get chicken breast, pasta in tomato sauce, and salad -- as much of each as you can eat. One of the guys was a rather large young man. Some one offered him the salad bowl, to which he responded:

"That's not food! That's what food eats."

More than a few covid dancers have put down family pets because... they were scared that the pooch who never left the house, who only interacted with family members, and who was fed by delivered grub... was gonna give them the 'Rona. I'm guessing a sizable group convergence here.
