If you're interested, the Hawaiian site is
https://2ahawaii.com/I'm still on there (as 230RN) but haven't posted in a while. I frankly got discouraged, not by the fervor of the shooters, but the overwhelming culture of submissive citizenship of the general population. It was even worse than a New Yorkers' submissive attitude toward government.
That cultural effect came through in a lot of the online traffic. I had a translation done of the BOR from Hawaiian and the Second Amendment one read "...the right of the people (militia) to bear arms, shall not be infringed."
The repetition of the word "(militia)" kind of annoyed me, as if they wanted to emphasize that "Hey, unless you were in some kind of military, you can't have guns."
Anyhow, they've got some of the same problems we have, as well as their own types of problems due to the bowed-head syndrome and I don't blame Ben for second-guessing his thinking about moving there.
Don't know about the validity of the gun sales statistics from there one way or the other.
