R.I.P. Scout26
The Marine Corps confirmed that there were no injuries, and that the incident is under investigation, although there were no further details on where or how the negligent discharge occurred, or what kind of weapon was involved. But while personnel from the Provost Marshal’s Office were clearing a barracks, they made an interesting discovery: A flock of ducks being kept in one Marine’s room.
I thought the article was about the "rubber ducks" or solid rubber M-16s we used for the bayonet assault course at Benning. I think this particular Marine should be lauded for storing actual assault ducks.
I thought it was about the amphibious vehicle.
I know the Navy still had some DUKWs as late as Sept. 1979. They used them to haul a bunch of us jarheads a mile offshore at Coronado and then kicked us off. We had to swim back to shore.
Holy hell. It's like giving a loaded gun to a chimpanzee...
the last thing you need is rabies. You're already angry enough as it is.OTOH, there wouldn't be a tweeker left in Georgia...
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE! AND THROW SOME STEAK ON THE GRILL!
Dude, black guys at swim qual is a very real (and funny) stereotype.Where did he get ducklings? I think there was a TSC in Yucca Valley, but there's *expletive deleted*ck all else near 29 stumps.
The post WWII version is the LARC-V https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LARC-VAn XL version is the LARC-LXhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LARC-LX
Yeah, I got to experience that first hand. The dipstick damn near drowned me trying to use my head as a float. Then I had to redo the qual swim.
