1-2 drinks per day was not associated with positive health benefits but three drinks per day significantly increase risk of early death.   Interesting comments about methodology and biases of earlier studies on the effects of moderate alcohol intake.

That's a hidden health benefit that wasn't examined in any of the studies.

This finding is not true for me.

Alcohol allowed me to beat a chronic pain disorder (hyperacusis).

I am not a heavy drinker by any measure, but a single stiff drink at the end of the work day has a huge psychological benefit for me.
