Recently the governor of New Mexico issued a temporary order rescinding the right to carry a gun in Albuquerque due to the high crime rate.
How about if she, or a governor in some other state with the same problem, went about it a different way? My suggestion is instead of suspending the 2nd amendment, they suspend the 5th and 6th. So, anybody caught by the police in the process of a felony, gets executed then and there. I submit my suggestion is more likely to punish the guilty rather than the law abiding, and also have a greater, longer lasting, and positive effect on the crime rate. If nothing else, it will make people defend the bill of rights a little more.
