Just don’t rely 100% on the compatibility checks. They aren’t perfect.

I went laptops only years ago. My current workhorse is:

HP Notebook 15-dy1023dx
Product number: 7WR60UA#ABA
Serial number: 5CD9445GYJ

Intel® Core™ i5-1035G1 (1.0 GHz base frequency, up to 3.6 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 6 MB cache, 4 cores)

12 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB, 1 x 8 GB)

Intel® UHD Graphics, Integrated

Hard drive: M.2, Type 2280, PCIe, NVMe, 3D NAND, SSD
(later upgraded to a 1tb SSD)

15.6" diagonal HD SVA BrightView micro-edge WLED-backlit touch screen (1366 x 768)

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11b/g/n/ac (1x1) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 Combo
Expansion slots

1 HDMI 1.4b; 1 headphone/microphone combo; 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only); 1 AC smart pin
Minimum dimensions (W x D x H)

HP TrueVision HD Camera with integrated dual array digital microphone

Windows 10 Home
(Upgraded to Win 11 Home)

Honestly, for what I do these days, it is quite adequate for my use. (Cruising the YouToobs, Here, a few other places, downloading anime and manga to read/watch on the laptop or cast to the 50" tv)

I DO have a 4tb (2 mirrored 4tb drives) SAN unit, an old Iomega (now Lenovo) Ix2-3 that came with 2 1tb drives and has been upgraded twice to 2 x 2tb then 2 x 4tb drives (last one was done yesterday).
I might not last very long or be very effective but I'll be a real pain in the ass for a minute!
MOLON LABE!
