Aero scope mount issues
« on: September 17, 2023, 12:15:15 PM »
When tightening the ring screws down in one the scope has a tendency to rotate to the right due to the design of the rings, no big problem just have it lean to the left a certain amount before tightening and after a few trials and errors you usually find the right amount in short order. I've got three Aero mounts so I've done this before. Okay, so far so good but just had one do something I've not seen before, mounted a scope in one three days ago and I will swear I had it mounted perfectly vertical in the mount but I pick up the rifle this morning and the scope is canted to the right. Now before you guess that maybe the reticle moved you could also see it clearly moved by looking at the caps and it was in there tight. Anyone see a scope creep after the fact like this before in a Aero mount?

Okay, just went through the process again and will check it again in a few days.

I have a few Aero mounts like that, never had them move.
A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.
Is defenestration possible through the overton window?

No, and I have 4 or 5 Aero mounts.  They are my go to for an affordable mount.

Aliens! Or don't mount scopes drunk and look through them sober, or vice versa.
AKA Navy Joe

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

This is my third. First time I've seen this happen.

Must of have been aliens then which means it's the republicans fault for not letting Biden close the border.

Still straight.
I swear it was straight and tightened down the first time.
Don't know what happened.
