Microsoft tech support/security scams on MSN

MSN as in Microsoft Network.

Basically he clicks on what appears to be a news article on MSN and up pops a security scam.
Yeah, on Microsoft's own website 

Tech Support Scam's are nothing new, but I managed to catch one on MSN published as an AD which is absolutely, considering MSN is owned by Microsoft and they are pushing Microsoft Tech Support scam on Microsoft website.

I shared this with a friend who is an IT manager for the big hospital in the area. His response:

Yep, it’s not Microsoft. It’s a scammer advertisement.

This one is an old one. Been around for years.

Yesh. He's a Microsoft fanboi -- it's about the response I expected. Completely overlooks the fact that the spammer ad is hosted on Microsoft's own news site.

Does he actually think that is somehow suppose to be reassuring? Actually makes it much worse IMHO in that they just let scammers pretending to be them stay on their website.
