Assuming the rumors I just posted are true and remember they're just rumors at this stage I don't think they have much choice but to go to the VP as they don't want to be seen passing up a POC not with all the political baggage they've built up trying to keep the black vote.
Then maybe Newsom to replace her as VP.

I wonder how they will play it?

1. Biden drops out, Harris gets the endorsement from Biden and people are angry because she is a terrible choice.

2. Biden drops out and does not get the endorsement from her boss. People ask why, is she really that bad of a VP? Well we know she is but they don't want to hear it. They lose the black vote, the women and there is general revolt against the Dems.

3. Biden drops out, does not endorse Harris because they want her "to be the choice of the people". See number 1.

I can just imagine the arguing and strategy sessions going on now, people yelling, throwing things, crying, wailing. It sounds beautiful!

At this point they just want Biden gone and hope just getting rid of him will give them a bump in the polls and if they pass on Harris they fear they'll anger both the black and women's persons with a uterus vote.

Harris is sacrificial lamb. Dem are going to feed Harris to the wolves and try win state elections. The Democrat know they can't win, with a Harris or a new candidates.

Had someone get angry with me a couple of hours ago, because I told them that Harris wasn't black when she was running for office in California - she was Indian...
 
They REFUSED to google who her parents were. She's black. Period. End of story.

NC is the same way.  We voted in major lefty Gov. Cooper for two terms, yet had solid GOP majorities in both houses of the legislature.

Only thing I can think of is that the gov races bring out the lefties in the cites but not the more R rural folk which is something that really needs to change.

I have seriously wondered who is calling the shots in the WH for a long time. Some say Jill.
Anyway, while he endorsed Harris that doesn't necessarily mean she's an automatic shoe in as who knows at this point what the delegates are going to do. Be interesting to see what kind of fight this turns into  [popcorn]
