Thanks, guys, we both appreciate it.
This round is being a bit more challenging for me for a very different reason...
OSHA apparently changed a bunch of rules on how vets can administer chemo, and it's REALLY *expletive deleted*ing things up. The practice I take her to now only has chemo appointments at 9 am and 1 pm instead of throughout the day, which makes seeing the doctor who has treated her a REAL *expletive deleted*ing problem because those fill up really quickly. Right now there are only two options -- keep pushing her treatments to the right so that we can see the same doctor, which I do NOT want to do, I want to keep this *expletive deleted*it as close to a 7 day spread as possible, or see another doctor.
So, next week, Seren's seeing a new doctor.
There is a third option, but I really don't want to do it, but that is to drop her off in the morning and leave her there all day. I have to do that no matter what for one treatment in every cycle because it's an infusion as opposed to a shot or a pill.
This is also something of a problem for me because my work schedule neatly brackets both times, and no matter what, I've either got to take leave or I've got to make up the time. The leave I have to be careful about because I'm running low because of the treatments at the beginning of the year.
I'm also pinned against how long of a day I can work because of Seren's medication needs in the afternoon.
I can deal with working longer days. No problem there. But I REALLY hate the thought of Seren not being able regularly see the doctor who has treated her throughout this entire process. It's not that I don't trust the other oncologists, it's just that they don't know Seren.
*expletive deleted*ing OSHA.
