I know NOTHING about boilers.

I think they boil water or something.

Why would someone want to do that?   ???

I also have the same rot-through problem at the exhaust elbow on the Weil-Mclain Ultra 155 and the unit is also about 8 years old. I just sent an email to webmaster@weil-mclain.com. How was your isue resolved? Did your heat exhanger get replaced under warranty?

No response. I have not had a chance to call them. Its on my list of things to do this week.

I came across this form, I am having the same issue with my Ultra 155
Rotted hole in the exchanger.
The warranty states 15 years from WM.

Has anyone received assistance?

I have patched the hole with an epoxy for the time being.

Please advise.
Thanks for your response.

I'll have to check with my friend. I told him to run with the harassing of weil mclain.
If he did not that just means the hight temp jb weld is still working.

Well i just joined the list. My Ultra 155 has developed the leak in the exhaust manifold. Unit is 8.5 years old. I had a repair guy in today to take the info and he has gone off to see what the warranty option will be. Hope this isn't to painful!
