Hence the tax attorney.  I know enough people with net worths far into the seven and eight figures to get a few solid recommendations on that, and you can bet my first week would be spent sitting down with at least three of them to get their opinion and some hard numbers on what theirs has done for them, who they've previously used and fired, etc.
And IMO I would get all those conversations and lawyers visits done before even claiming the money.  It shouldn't take long and you can afford to make the lawyer get it done quickly. 

I hope I would be one of those who would avoid quitting or anything big until I had money in the bank.
