As I have remarked several times in the past - both on this forum and THR, TFL - the real seat of power in this country is the Congress. The president has very limited powers
in domestic matters. However, he can, with the stroke of a pen, end our involvement in the "United Nations" -
a treaty - and kill the NAU stone dead for at least the length of his term in office.
That is something. It is in fact
alot. The U.N., and the NAU in particular at this stage, are currently the greatest and most imminent threats to our rights and Constitution bar none.
You evidently don't grasp that or couldn't care less. So the fact that none of the other candidates - especially any candidate from the Libertarian party - are going to do a thing about it, makes no difference to you.
In view of their platform on borders, I for one am thankful that the LP is not fielding any candidate. That no other "republican" candidate has explicitly stated an intention to kill the NAU dead says enough about them for me.
Ron Paul did not support special protections for gunmakers for a good reason; you do not
legislate immunity in place of the
Constitutional process in place. It is the responsibility of the
Judiciary to quash -
dismiss out of hand at the getgo - frivilous and idiotic lawsuits. And the responsibility of the
Legislature to impeach judges that allow such idiocy, when it occurs, to proceed in the courts.
If "Republicans" in congress are so keen to stop frivilous lawsuits against gunmakers,
why don't they deal with the judges that are allowing them like they are supposed to?
