Some folks are just beyond parody.  They exist in a whole universe of absurdity.

JW Price is one of those folks.

Price doesn't scare me. The fact that he holds office of any kind sure does, tho.

Indeed, and that video proves it.  It was the interview that really put me over the edge.

I'm going to have to call up and complain about his racist comments!

Instead of a miasma of smug, we have a miasma of dumb.  Sheesh...where do people get this stuff?  How can someone say it with a straight face?

According to news reports, the guy who originally made the comment has refused to apologize, saying that anyone who takes racial offense at his use of a scientific term needs psychological help.  grin

I was once at a scientific convention with a group of American and Soviet researchers back in the 80's.  One of the lectures had to do with black holes, referring to collapsed stellar objects.  Several of the Soviet researchers turned beet red, and it turns out that 'black hole" when translated to Russian, corresponds to a colloquial term for the anus.

They call them 'collapsed stellar objects' in Russia.

Which, oddly enough, is a better descriptive term for Dallas city government....   cheesy
