I am somewhat impressed by the American success story of Billy Mays. Grew up in Pittsburgh, dropped out of college at WVU and worked for his dad's trucking company, got his salesman start when he tagged along on a trip with his friend who was going to Atlantic City to sell Ginsu knives on the boardwalk. Not many people turn that trip into a career.

I just saw one of his commercials aired on cable today, as if he was still around.

I suppose they paid for the footage, but still, that's kinda creepy.
