Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.  I've been lurking a bit before posting and this seems like a fun place with a wide range of topics.  Happy to be posting with you all and looking forward to some good conversations.   =)

Hey, thanks, guys!

I have some questions - is this a gun board?  I see you guys talk about other topics which I think is really cool.  I've been on another gun board but it's not that great there so I was searching for another one but one that doesn't mind off fun topics too.

This board is for and by gunnies, and some have lots of expertise. We just like to talk about other stuff as well. The forums are related to TheHighRoad forums, and there you'll find almost exclusively talk about guns and closely related topics.

Hit the topic list and you'll see a little of everything. A summary of recent discussion: HAM radio, car names, SPAM, medical ailments, anh HVAC issues, plus some gun topics.

Chrissy, this is the BS board.  We talk everything here, and are largely only bound together as an interest group by our domain name:  Armed Polite Society.  You're probably familiar with it as a Heinlein quote from one of his books?  "An armed society is a polite society."

So... we're all firearms owners but we tend to talk all sorts of stuff.

Got a question, bring it here.  If we don't know, we'll try to point you in the right direction.

Well I was on a gun board for over a year and a half, but just got tired of the guys being so nasty.  Many of them were NOT happy a woman was on the board and I was pretty much the only one.  Any other women on this one??

Awww...you guys are Facebook people?   =(    I'm a Myspace person because Facebook blows up my computer, lol.  I do have a profile on Facebook but I never go there anymore.  The url for my MySpace page is in my profile if anyone is on that site.

Haha!  Were you lurking at my former board??   :laugh:    Glad to hear it's not like that here.  I'm truly not a whiner, which is why I don't get how I was treated there.  Seems way better over here already.  Again, thanks for being so welcoming everyone.   =)

Some of us have to be reminded occasionally that we aren't just discussing this stuff with a bunch of guys only.  If we forget, just throw a shoe or something.  We try to be civil except maybe on the Political side.  :)
