Top Gun 2 is going to be made.  It is about the rise of drone aircraft and the ending of the fighter pilots reign in the industry.

I fail to see the problem. Drone aircraft/UCAV's leave that much more time for karaoke and homo-erotic beach volleyball.

SPEED AND ANGELS is more of a documentary with less "action," but at least they're real people and the dialogue isn't cheesy.

Bad things I have learned this weekend.

1) They are making Top Gun 2 - hopefully Val Kilmer doesn't play volleyball in this one.

2) Time has not been good to Kelly McG.

3) A Red Dawn 2 is also in the works.

What's next???????  Footloose 2?  Roadhouse 2?

I'm sorry but nothing can approach the sheer badness of the original footloose.  Chris Penn dancing?  that is some manbearpig action right there.  Kevin Bacon trying to get his shoelace loose while playing chicken on a tractor?  The one bright spot of the whole movie was Sarah Jessica Parker.
