I don't get it.  I understand the military and gun talk, but what is the stuff about his fiance?  Is the girl helping the man to adjust his spine or what?

So the girl in red is the fiancee?

Does your strip exist outside the internet?

Does ANYTHING exist outside the internet?

That sound you just heard was me, blowing your mind man. Wink

fistful,

Suck it up and do what I did a few months back.  Hit the arrow on the far left and start at the beginning.  Have an hour or two available.

Good stuff Chris, and good links to other blogs and such.

get most of my inspiration from the net, and online is dbd's prime reason.

I have not felt the need to subscribe to a news rag since Bloom County & The Far Side went kaput.  If Dallas Morning News carries your strip, I'll subscribe.

Besides, I need newsprint to test out some of my handloads.

Hey Chris!  Excellent strip.  It occupies prime real-estate on my personal domain.

I particularly enjoyed the Zed/Sam self-defense arc a while back.

You'd have to have been following it.

Woman.  Sam's a mature woman.

My bro turned me on DBD a while ago, and I've been following it ever since.

Sam and Zed are engineers.  They work at an unidentified company with Damon, a young conservative coder, and Jan, a young liberal marketer.  Damon and Jan are involved romantically, too.  They are complete political opposites but sometimes find themselves united in their disdain for politicians on both sides of the aisle.  Sam and Zed, the "older couple," are both somewhat conservative, but they tend to share a chuckle at the youngsters' expense.

Zed was a sniper in a past life, but he doesn't talk about it.  We've seen hints in the past and once two military guys shooting a .50 at a public range recognized him.

This comic occurs after Zed has just proposed marriage to Sam, who's been in a funk the last few days before that.  She accepted his proposal, which is good, but getting to one knee threw his back out, which is bad.  There. . . now you're all caught up!

If I need to say it, Chris:  I'm a big fan.  DBD is one of two strips I cannot live without (the other is "Get Fuzzy").

I've seen this strip posted on The High Road from time to time, but I thought the whole thing was overhyped.  I did go through some of the archives tonight.  It has its moments and it has its other moments.  Something about it doesn't work for me.

Still, it's very refreshing to see an artist with some political sense, especially when nonsense like The Boondocks is littering our papers.  May the tribe of Mr. Muir increase.

Glad to see you're around, Chris.

I read DBD right after Cox & Forkum and before Tamara's blog.  Found it months ago and it's been a staple ever since.

What became of the idea for the Sunday archive?

Chris, another fan (well 2: Spoon loves it as well). I don't read many online comics, DbD is one of them! Keep up the good work, and good luck in the papers!
