I could definitely see Lesnar as Franks, and Hugo Weaving as Myers. Bruce Willis fits Earl Harbinger's old school tough guy feel, in my head. I kinda picture Dave Bautista as Owen, at least physically.

I always pictured harbinger as skinny-ish.  Isn't that part of the whole "why is that little guy beating the crap out of the huge guy" thing?  Did I miss a character description in the book?

Also, dolph is too old...at least in the face.  Franks' face doesn't have that many miles ;)

Ooh, Donovan as Myers.  I like that.

Hell, make Larry lose a few pounds (sorry Larry, we all have to) and cast HIM as Owen...it's obvious he kinda used himself as the character mold (and his wife as Julie...look at their Halloween pics on FB)

It's fun to speculate, but Larry has sold the TV rights to MHI, not the film rights.  Not that actors from Hollywood don't sometimes switch to TV roles.  Adam Baldwin and Jeffery Donovan are more realistic choices than Lundgren or Willis.

Also, don't forget that OZP is 25 at the beginning of MHI... far too young for Adam Baldwin.  Some people can play roles much younger than their physical age (I might mention most of the cast of 90210), but Baldwin is already pushing 51.

I only have a few suggestions.  Lena Headey for Julie:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0372176/

Stephen Lang for Harbinger:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002332/

And of course myself for Kantrowitz from Monster Hunter Legion.  Just give me a line or two so I can get my SAG card.

Donovan doesn't really work for Myers. In the book he's described as being "older and looked more like a college professor than a fed."  That's Hugo Weaving to a T.

Lang would be an OK fit for Harbinger, but not the best one. He's a little too old. I always pictured him as a younger version of Muse Watson, the guy who plays Mike Franks on NCIS.

Who plays Ray?  Brad Dourif?

Definitely Muse Watson. Just about the right age, right look.

And Watson doesn't look too old?
Lang fits the mold of looking like he has homicidal temptations just below the surface.  Watson looks too nice at least in the pic I saw.  Harbinger should have a hard look look like he would rather rip your throat than talk to you.  Also, fairly thin or low body fat and a chain smoker with a redneck look.

I said a young Watson. He is too old, but if you could find a younger guy that looks like him he'd work.

Watson could still play Ray, though.

Good acting skills and makeup can compensate well for an incorrect look.

Except in the case of Franks, he has no lines. So his actor really does have to stand there and look the part, while dressed in a cheap MCB suit.

How about Jason Statham as Franks? He does his best work with no spoken lines....

.....and, for Myers, Matt Bomer from WHITE COLLAR.

WAY too good looking for Myers. Maybe for Grant.

Myers needs to be rather weaselly looking college professor. Actually, if Ben Stein were a little younger, I could see him in that role.

And Statham is too small. The man needs to look like a brick.

I'm thinking Ronald "Tiny Ron" Taylor. Maybe with a little augmentation to look bulkier.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I could agree with Bomer as Grant....maybe Tim McKay (his WC co-star) as Myers....he already plays a straight-laced Fed....

.....and Willie Garson as Milo.....

I'd like to see Sienna Miller as Julie.  To me she looks the part much better than Kate.  Just look at her as the Baroness in the 1st GI Joe movie.

I have a bit of a MHI inspired complex right now.
While shopping over the weekend, my wife bought a 'WELCOME' mat that is now on our front door stoop.
We've lived in our house for over 11 years without a 'WELCOME' mat and have never been attacked by vampires.
I think there might be a correlation... =|
