I'm halfway through Monster Hunter Vendetta, having finished the first book Thursday.

Only 2.5 more books to go, then you'll be bugging Larry like the rest of us to come out with another one ASAP

A little hard to believe at first, but they get BETTER.

Indeed, Alpha had a brilliant back story, vendetta had "TASTE THE WRATH OF  SSSSKKKKIIIIIIPPPPYYYYYY" and great character back story, and legion was just, well, huge.

You need to get Spellbound and Hard Magic by Larry.  Then get Dead Six by Larry and Mike Kupari.

Well.  I see I'll have to watch out for spoilers in my own thread.  =|

BTW, does anyone else see Adam Baldwin as Agent Franks?

A.Z.E. is just a nice touch at one point.  It ain't near the biggest piece of awesome in the book.

Yes!  Though, I think they need a physically larger, darker, person if they were casting for Franks.  Basically, fitz with hair.

Although I've never met Fitz IRL, I'm going to guess he would not fit the quiet, emotionless type that would be required for Franks.  Also, I think I'm going to have to buy this:

Hmm.  True, but I was mainly going for physical appearance.  If you took my friend, let's just call him "P" AMD put his brain in fitz's body...THAT would e agent franks.

Remember, franks isn't emotionless...he's just calm.  But he has plenty of deadpan sarcastic humor, and genuinely cares for some things.

Yep.  Think of Baldwin's character in "Chuck".  (I did like that series.)

Oh, and if Fitz played Franks, who would play Mosh?

I know!  "Shredder" Monkeyleg.

He needs to be bigger.  Remember, Owen is HUGE and yet he describes franks as the same size or bigger.

Yeah, I always pictured massive block of a man. Like some of the alternate versions of batman with the massive jaw, in my head at least. (Huge batman fan when I was little.)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Maybe somebody from a super heavyweight division of MMA, like a Brock Lesnar, or Overeem, or Frank Mir...

Its hard to capture in a still photo how freaking huge Brock is/was.

Maybe holding a 50cal like a Rem 700 will do it.

Wikipedia says his bout weight is ~266lbs. My guess is that he was cutting a lot to hit that target.
I’m not saying I invented the turtleneck. But I was the first person to realize its potential as a tactical garment. The tactical turtleneck! The… tactleneck!

Remove the cape and cowl and give him some sunglasses.

I've always thought of Franks as looking kind of like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator, except bigger and with a cheap suit.

The guy on the left (I'm assuming that's Lesnar??) would work; he'd just need to get different haircut.

ETA: While we're doing casting, I say Hugo Weaving plays Agent Myers.

You'll do, then, since I assume you already have the mad scientist act down.
