Piers Morgan - Walking Firearms Encyclopedia
« on: August 23, 2014, 12:30:27 PM »
It was 50/50 on putting this in politics or RT, given that it's almost more of a comedy. Piers Morgan schooling people on firearms types:

Where can I buy an AT-15?  At a gunshow  ???
Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one. The road goes upward toward the light; but the laden traveller may never reach the end of it.  - Ursula Le Guin

I am not sure why we care what Piers Morgan thinks.  The man has proven time and again that he has some loose screws upstairs.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

I think we don't, but I always enjoy watching him get his ass handed to him. :)

After a certain point one begins to feel sorry.  Not because he is getting his butt simultaneously kicked and handed to him, but that when most of the dirt he tries to throw up over the edge of the hole he has dug himself into falls back down on him and he thinks it is coming from someone else.

But not sorry enough to turn away.  The show is more compelling than a soap opera story line - you really do want to see how it all ends.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

They keep making this eternal vigilance thing harder and harder.  Protecting the 2nd amendment is like playing PACMAN - there's no pause button so you can go to the bathroom.

Heck, a .22 will do that if it's mounted in a stock with the thing that goes up.

It does. M1A2's, even...or at least the Ruskies claim it can.

Sure, if it's being run by a corrupt Russian general.

Let's say you find your shiny new AT-15, where do you get some .233 ammo for it?

Here I was hoping the AT-15 was a civilian version of the AT-AT.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Quote
Ah, so rather than correct himself on the facts, Morgan would prefer to set up yet another straw man — if a gun isn’t defined as an “assault weapon,” you must believe it’s harmless. Got it.

Plus the classic "Let's agree to disagree," when the matter of the disagreement is a matter of fact, not of opinion. I don't know if that qualifies as a logical fallacy but, if it doesn't, it should.

The Temperature is 70 degrees. If Dana Loesch says, "It's too hot" and Piers Morgan says, "It's too cold", that's a matter of opinion and it's something on which they can legitimately agree to disagree. Whereas "The temperature is 70 degrees" (Loesch) being countered by Piers Morgan with "It's too cold" just doesn't work. As a Zen teacher once told us, "What is, is. Your unhappiness results from your inability to accept that which is."

Someone needs to troll Piers hard. Make up a fake advocacy group demanding that the .88 magnum handgun be banned.  If we could only get him to say it shoots through schools on air...  =D

I shot through a tank with a .22 that didn't have any shoulder thing.  It let all the leftover helium out in a big hurry.
