She defines privilege strangely. Is it a privilege to have band aides that are lighter colored? Really? Would I care if they were all brown? No. She acts like all "white people" let out a maniacal laugh every time they pull out a band aide since they know it is made for them.
Will they demand that the actual bandage pads and gauze pads be changed to black?
When I've had blood drawn as part of my annual physical, they've put on a bit of cotton (white) on the puncture, but then held it on with a length of semi-adhesive elastic bandage- over the years the color of that bandage has on occasion been brown, green, orange, red, and (drum roll please) BLACK, but never white. The cotton was always hidden away, as if the medical community was ashamed of its whiteness.
