California is seeking information about the locations of classic cars in the state and the tendencies of their drivers after considering establishing “zero emissions zones,” according to a state survey obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) sent out the survey about light-duty vehicles made in model year 1978 or earlier on Aug. 2, seeking information from respondents about tendencies they have while using the classic vehicles, including the county in which they are primarily driven. The survey on classic cars follows a 2019 CARB draft report which suggests that the state should “provide explicit authority to local jurisdictions to create zero-emission zones” in order to combat climate change.

The survey also asks respondents to specify how many miles are registered on the odometers of their classic cars and approximate annual mileage, as well as the frequency and distance travelled of their cruises. California has the most classic car collectors of any state in the country, according to RotoWire.

A “zero emissions zone” is “an area where only zero-emission vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists are granted unrestricted access” that is intended to help counter climate change, according to The International Council on Clean Transportation.

Defining a "classic car" as one built prior to 1978, I can understand why there are so many "collectors" in Calif.  Folks can't afford to replace their vehicle, so they keep the old one running.

Looking at the photos, most just show a sea level a few feet above the surface.  Why does the one photo show water over the tree tops?

Also, if that were to happen, every one of those areas would build levees and remain dry for the most part.

I've seen more videos similar to this, where even when the protestor barely escapes being run over, they continue to return to the same spot in front of the same car. The driver has already indicated to you that he'll run you over. Hello, Darwin? You there?

(WAVE) - The yearly report from the Metropolitan Housing Coalition (MHC) shows that the city not only needs to build more affordable homes, it needs to make them more resilient. “The State of Housing in a Changing Climate” makes a case for building affordable housing that can stand up to more severe weather and keep energy costs down.

MHC Executive Director Tony Curtis said the cost can be daunting.

“Millions, billions of dollars,” he said. “People run away from and say we can’t tackle this, but it does take that bold vision, but it takes a bold investment of money and a community engagement as well to do that.”

According to the report, 41.1% of renters in the Louisville Metro already spend more than 30% of their income on rent. That is the threshold of what is considered affordable housing.

'We would urge caution in the assumption that emissions from humans are negligible.'

Every person breathes out CO2 when they exhale, but in their new study, the researchers focused on methane and nitrous oxide.

These two are both powerful greenhouse gases, but because they're breathed out in much smaller quantities, their contribution to global warming may have been overlooked.

And it's 1/10 of 1% of greenhouse gases PANIC!
