Update from France

Quote
The New Popular Front (NFP) alliance is on course to have 172-215 MPs with Emmanuel Macron's centrists on 150-180 seats and the far-right National Rally (RN) on 115-155, according to projections by four leading polling firms.

I saw a thing on X claiming a bunch of moderate left candidates dropped out at the last minute, paving the way for Socialists to take a bunch of seats.  Tweet claimed it was the result of a back room deal by Macron.

I have no idea how accurate that may or may not be.

Between this, and the UK's recent Elections the statists are doing much better than it looked li,e they were a week or so ago.  It'll be interesting to see what the Socialists do in France with their new power.  If we see things being nationalized we'll know what the deal was.

When politicians make deals it's usually the citizens who get screwed in the deal.

So their version of the republican party

I like your sharply-honed wit.
Sooner or later, law output will become greater than Court input.

They're trying to push a 90% tax on the "wealthy" in France now . Yeah, lets see how that works out.
Of course if they managed to get that passed it'll be the wealty's fault when France goes into the toilet.

Germany tries "No!" tattoo stickers for women, to deter rape by migrants.

I'm sure that will work.

(just wondering why the sticker reads "No" and not "Nein")
