Do any of you guys shoot the Magtech? I'm usually an S&B guy for the range 9mm, but that's a good price. S&B is like $250 usually.

Magtech is not my normal choice, but I have shot maybe several boxes of 9mm with no issues.  I have some Magtech 10mm and it is not as under-powered as some. 

The Speer Lawman is my first choice in 9mm FMJ.  Followed by Federal and Winchester.  The Speer is at $260 and also free shipping.

The steel case magtech is good, cheap fun. The nickel plated cases are slipperier than the normal steel cases and feeds better. I ran through 150 rounds this morning and am on my fourth of fifth case.

I never notice the "steel case" right away.  =)  If you want blasting ammo, it should work.  If money is not tight, I would go for the Speer.

Primary Arms has a 13% off sale sitewide with code: TAKE13.  I got my last suppressor through them with a similar sale.  Takes the edge off the tax stamp.

I tend to prefer red dot on rifles.  Mainly because Spring greenery can wash out the green dot at the right time of year.  Depends on where you are.  Green does pop in my vision pretty good.  I tend to prefer it for pistol front sights.

The thermal sensor is 256x192. I’d probably hold out for a higher resolution.

Many say green can washout against foliage, YMMV since it is a bright luminescent green. Saying that I prefer red anyway since it's what I'm use to.

For me, green washing out was ONLY an issue during the short time in Spring when all the new green stuff was fresh and bright (and crowding around my targets).  Most of it settles into a darker green pretty quick that doesn't affect the green dot so much.  I wouldn't let that stop you if you really preferred green.  This was also with the ACOG I have, not a green dot.

That makes for an inexpensive AR-10.  I had an earlier model several years ago.  It shot pretty decent.  I wasn't getting 1/2" groups, but It was reliable.
