Politics / Re: Guess what's racist/white supremacy now

A white person filming a black man being arrested is racist because a black man, and woman, have different rights from a white boy. Then she kind of sort of defends the white police officers. Yeah, it's weird.

Quote
The arrest of a black man on a busy Chicago street sparked fury among onlookers after a black woman insisted a white man could not film it because her rights are 'different' to his.

The white blogger headed to the scene near North Wells Street on Wednesday afternoon after a police radio scanner tweeted about an off-duty officer being assaulted by a man in a Dodge Charger.

He pulled out his phone after finding three white officers arresting the dreadlocked driver who was not resisting, but found a different subject when a female onlooker demanded he stop filming and accused him of racism.

With the arresting officers looking on in bemusement, he told her he knew his rights and suggested that she should know hers.

'Oh, I know my rights, and my rights are different from yours,' she shot back. 'You want to know why? Because that's a black man, and you're a white boy.'

Explosive confrontation erupts on streets of Chicago as black woman accuses white man of racism for filming black man's arrest - and says her rights are 'different'

We give out Official smart phones that can VPN in to NIPR side stuff pretty freely.  Certainly everyone GS-12 and above has one, and you can get them lower.  They are half assed "locked down" in that you can't add or change the software on them.

Okay, that sounds more like what they were handing out on my side, except smartphones were still brand new and they were super paranoid about device security trying to integrate them into a previously dumb phone environment. Rightly so, but the things were basically locked down to be no more than phones, calendars, and text devices. I would guess by now they are similar to what you guys have on the Unclassified side.

There are drum magazines for AKs that hold 75 rounds with one in the chamber.  They use a wind-up spring to feed the ammo.
I have one of those sold by K-USA.  Works pretty good.  I have several of the 40 round mags.  Never had an issue with them.  The drum is a bit on the heavy side fully loaded.

The GLx scopes are a little bit better.  Not certain how much.  I have never tried to spend the money to get better than that.  The SLx scopes are still pretty good.

Back when I had a Tavor, I had the Meprolight sight on it.  I never tried to go magnified with it.

Meprolight RDS Pro v2 sits atop the Tavor X95
Tavor 7 was sporting a reg RDS which has now moved to the KSG. The RDSs are well suited for bullpups for various reasons

That is what passes (pardon the pun) for bragging in North Korea.

"I eat so much I was able to have a poo today!"

I think it's absolutely hysterical that the Russian "fleet" has to travel everywhere with a rescue tug.

That's a pretty solid indication of just how badly the Russian vessels are maintained.

The Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov has routinely been accompanied by a rescue tug (when it is actually capable of leaving port, which now days is virtually never) because its engines are so incredibly unreliable and prone to failure.

I haven't failed to notice that. But to be at least partially fair to the Russians we usually have other ships in the area both US and allied that could assist and friendly ports nearby in case of trouble while they usually don't

You like?

I'm considering the SLX 1-6 Nova to go on the so far still delayed Scout Rifle Project I have stuck in my head.  I like PA scopes, but have never gone down to the SLX series.

I do for my purposes, YMMY of course. 1-6 is my favorite sweet spot and they're clear enough IMHO for me and I like the reticles over most out there. They have lighter and (somewhat) clearer versions but they cost 2-4x as much I'm don't think they're better enough for my purposes to justify the extra cost. I think the SLX line gets you to within 90% of those.

I have 4 PA scopes and all 4 were bought on some kind of special.
The older 1-6 was a blem special, think I paid something like $180 off from $290
The new one as I said above was a 50% off special order special with 50% off of $400 so I paid $200.
The other two 4-14 FFP DMRs were open box specials and I think I paid $160 and $180 with a 12% off sale going on at the time.

I'm learned to watch PA for blems and other specials

Is that the computer pinging the router or just the network card?

Primarily the network card and the MB will be waiting for the signal to either wake up or turn on from the card if that feature is enabled.
Basically my point was that may show up as activity on the router.
