That bacon was fantastic.... not sure how, but the two pounds I purchased are now gone.  Although in fairness, with all the different advice on this thread, I was trying out several things... for science!

Went by the local Dairy Queen the other day. The sign out front said "Bacon Cheese Shake, $3.99.
I was sorely disappointed when the girl said someone just forgot to insert "Burger & after the Cheese. =(

Dinner tonight was a Bacon cheeseburger with blue cheese dressing on it and a side order of onion rings.  Bacon was limp.

I have that set as my background. A big 45 colt would look better beside that much bacon but when I cook that much bacon I'm not going to waste time taking a picture.

I put some beans on to boil and slow cooked some bacon and then tossed in a sweet yellow oven. Bacon and beans, better then ham and beans.

This morning, I helped my wife make mini-quiches and loaded scrap lumber in my pickup truck to haul to the garbage dump (yes, my man-card has the dual citizenship stamp....  :cool: )

For lunch, I had a bacon-cheese-bacon-cheese sandwich on bread heels with mustard.....and I occasionally fit a dill pickle slice inside random bites.....

....this has been a good day.....

Tomorrow I will eat a bacon sammich made with bacon I raised on bread that I baked.
The bread is a simple recipe
flour
yeast
salt
water
Mix up the dough in the evening, let it rise over night, knead it just a little in the morning and let it rise again all day. About an hour before you want to bake it shape it into a loaf, let it rise for abut an hour then bake it in a 500 degree oven. Makes crusty loaf with a chewy texture reminiscent of sourdough with out all the fuss.
Holds lots of bacon and cheese, won't go all soggy even with a 1/2" slice of tomato added. also makes a great french toast to eat with bacon.
