Sadly, I survived my trip to Vegas. And I will say no more.

Happily, my son has decided to come to live with me. Needless to say the WINO is less then thrilled with this development. Lawyers are now invovled, hopefully we can get a separation agreement hammered out before it costs too much. (Famous last words)

So, what's new with you?

The Good: got a raise & all the overtime I can stand.
The Bad: my pet vole died, but he was warm, happy & loved until the end.
The Ugly: today my biggest cat stepped on my forehead & slipped, so I have a new hairdo to cover the gashes.

I am very glad you survived your trip to Vegas even if you're not.

Also, I'm doing another happy dance about your son coming to live with you.

I realized that I am not a leader, and no amount of training or experience will make me one. Tough sometimes to confront one's limitations.

Good deal on your son going to live with you.

I get to have Aortic Bifemoral Bypass surgery next month. All but one Dr was wrong on the diagnosis of what was wrong with my legs.

The stray cat we adopted turned out to be a harlot.

She was pregnant with one when she showed up 4 months ago - +1.

Evidently, female cats can become impregnated while nursing.

Litter 3 weeks ago was 5!

We are looking for homes.

Why is it that folks that exclusively like dogs seem to find entertainment in killing cats, but folks that exclusively like cats don't tend to find entertainment in killing dogs?

Not sure why, but it really tends to get under my skin.

Found out my 9 yo son has a pretty good aptitude for archery, so we try to take a trip to the range on a semi-regular basis.
After last session, I let him shoot my M4gery. Had him load round into mag, lock mag, close the bolt, take safety off, aim, squeaze, put safety on, drop mag, roll a round into the mag, then repeat the whole process. After 2nd time through, he said "hey Dad, I got this" so I just stood by and handed him single rounds.
Great time for both of us.

Me too....cat people are just weird like that....

Weekend is here....waiting in the parking lot of a local Italian restaurant for my wife to arrive....glad we didn't go to Waco like she wanted....never a good reason to go to Waco on a Friday night....

You know, this cat vs. dog thing reminded me of something. I've heard "dog people" joke tons of times about the violent end to a feline, but never have heard of them actually attempting to go through with it.

On the other hand, I do know (actually know) a somewhat famouse cat person that regularly neglects her dogs and attempted to shoot one of the barn dogs when it chased one of her cats. Luckly, her barn manager smuggled the poor dog out of there before *well known person* could follow through with the poor things death sentance.

I also would note that a majority of "dog people" have and love cats, whereas, the oppiseite is not so.

^^^ How interesting. I work both sides of the street. Currently, I have one cat. The two dogs died a few years back, but we will likely get another dog when the cat passes. Altogether in my 52 years, I have owned three cats and five dogs.

I'm a dog person who has had cats in the past but I don't have a curently have a cat, probably won't have another ever but I don't wish to harm any of them. I also get tired of people who hate cats and think every cat should be a dead cat. If you don't like cats avoid them and shut up about ill will towards them.
