GD, it's hot.

103 degress on the outside thermometer. 89 on the inside thermometer. That's with the swamp cooler and my own refrigerated air unit going.

That sucks, we only hit a comfy 101 here today.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

But is it a dry heat?

Ha! We're actually having the first day that's almost warm enough. In fact, while cooking dinner I had to go change into a sleeveless shirt. But I suspect it was just because of the afternoon sun on the building.

This time of year, the humidity is way up. Going into what they call the "monsoon season". One of the challenges of living in the high desert, I suppose.

I *almost* put a jacket on today, because the wind was a bit chilly. I don't think it ever got much above 70. :P

It has dropped to 85° now. But the heat got me today.

I can dress for cold, but I can only take so many clothes off when it hits 100°.  :O  My white butt seems to scare some people.

It's hit 99 here a couple of days in the last week. I've gotten used to the temps here, but that's stretching it a bit.

The worst part is the gym. There's seldom an attendant there, and they always turn the air conditioning up to 80 or so when they leave, as they don't think it's necessary except to keep them cool.

But is it a dry heat?
We got over a 100 down here on the Texas Gulf Coast which is unusual.  And it is never a dry heat here, though that is all relative of course.

I guess I haven't been out in the heat too much this year.  Had to do a tour with some folks for about 1.5 hours in our plant starting about 3 PM yesterday.  I felt like I sweated out quite a bit.

It's been freaking gorgeous here the last couple of days. Cool, crisp mornings and very low humidity.

We're going to pay starting tomorrow, though, and this weekend is going to be a scorcher.

That is one of two reasons that my last company couldn't come up with a high enough number to get me to manage our Houston branch.

I can't give up my long winter days out hiking the woods and then sitting by the fire and drinking a few beers.

Going up to 108 by the weekend. It will feel like one of the western states.

I'm glad the previous owners of the house put in underground sprinklers. My neighbors' lawns are mostly brown, but mine is still green, and we all have hybrid Bermuda that's heat-resistant.

101 today, projected highs per weatherchannel.com for the next few days: 99, 106, 106, 105, 100.

The grass is dead and crackling underfoot. I'm a bit nervous about idiots in my neighborhood playing with fireworks.

I will gladly take the 100-105 temps here than the 130+ I was dealing with last year while in Kuwait.
