Oh sure, bring reality back to our bitchfest.  =D

I try.  >:D

We got into the nineties for a couple of weeks in May, but it's been unseasonably cool and wet since.  I think summer took a left at Albuquerque.

Drank around 1.5 gallons of water/Powerade today while working.  Add in the 12oz of coffee and 12 oz of V-8 at breakfast and we're close to 2 gallons of fluids.

I did not have to urinate at all.

Slogging around in the field and humping 1200' of hoses out of a 120 degree greenhouse to get some water to our corn might have had something to do with that.

I think it got up to about 72 today, here in the Festung Scout Basement.

Walking upstairs was like walking into a sauna and breathing a bowl of soup.

I made a bit of .223 goodness on the press today.

Taking dinner over to the neighbors here soon.  They have the air on.   ;)

All I can say is keep drinking water into the evening until you do uninate well.  I know I sleep badly and wake up feeling bad if I go to bed at all dehydrated.

Got up to 95 here today, which is hot for my area. The kids even complained that it was too hot to go to the splash park after work.

108 F at St. Louis, today. More of the same tomorrow. The humidity was about 20%, which is unusual for the Missouri/Mississippi confluence area. Walking around outside in this dry heat really is like opening an oven and feeling the hot air move past your face.

They're promising us 106 F on Saturday, before we drop to a cool, comfortable 102 F on Sunday, and similar temps the rest of next week.

That is one of two reasons that my last company couldn't come up with a high enough number to get me to manage our Houston branch.

I can't give up my long winter days out hiking the woods and then sitting by the fire and drinking a few beers.

Seems unusual for June...we usually top at 100 if that this time of year. And it had been SO nice so far.

The readout outside my office said 106 yesterday, and the weather app on my phone said it was 108 at my house.

Today is supposed to be hotter.

Pardon me while I walk out into the server room and hug my AC unit.

I don't know what the temp was at the gym today, but it's 105 outside with a breeze, and outside felt cooler. First time I've really sweated while working out.

I'm used to the heat now, though. I don't miss WI winters a bit.

I think I might actually be melting. :( I forgot to make up ice packs and frozen towels yesterday, so I have a bag of frozen brussel sprouts sitting on my head until the ice and towels freeze.
Hot, sweaty and miserable seems to be the theme of the day....

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Only hit 100° here today. I worked late last night since I had the kid today.

Got done with paper work, phone calls and checking in parts around 3:00.

Threw some beer and a bunch of ice in the cooler and jumped in the pool for a while. I had to drink the beer fast because the girl kept throwing the ice in the pool to make it cooler.

3:49 pm, hottest part of the day, and it's 71 right now. But sunny at least, so if I walk the dog real fast and stay in the sun, it almost feels warmish.

Yeah, be so envious of people who are hot to the point of being sick. It's so hot I can't eat or sleep, and I have a mild headache that's just going to get progressivly worse as the evening continues.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. I feel gross due to the sweat that is literally dripping off me, but I know that a shower won't really help, because after I get out, I won't actually get dry and be overheated because of the exsertion.

Yay summer. :'(

I will gladly take the 100-105 temps here than the 130+ I was dealing with last year while in Kuwait.

But it was a dry heat. :P
