Crude has been slowly moving up over the last couple of months and is sitting around $85 a barrel right now.

Gas has been bouncing back and forth over the same time.

Right now the Wawa is sitting a $3.59, same as the Sunoco and the Shell on the same stretch of road.

$2.99 for 85 octane ethanol, $3.89 for diesel and $4.09 for straight gas.  That's at the local Murphy, everywhere else is even more.  Ouch!

There is a new Sheetz that has gone in across the highway from Murphy's in Granite Falls.  They are charging $2.95 for gas.  The Murphy's and a Raceway down the road a bit are also charging $2.95, and have been for a couple of weeks.  Everyone else in the area is at $3.49 or more.  Thank goodness for gas wars.

Wow, I didn't realize that Sheetz had crept its way that far south.

One went in near I-40 Exit 126 a year or so ago.  That was the first one in the area as far as I know.  I think the one up north on US321 is either number two or three around the Hickory Unifour area.

DW & I went for a drive yesterday.  We took a few back roads, a couple interstate fwy a state hwy.  From I20 in TX to I35 in OK, the prices I saw* were from $3.09 to $3.49.  Of course, the one we stopped at was $3.49.

*There had to be prices above/below those, I just didn't see 'em.

It's been creeping up around here for a couple months.  $3.66 when I topped off the Scooby yesterday.

The price dropped 5 cents at both the Wawa (3.51) and the Global (3.49) this afternoon.

Right after I paid the higher price on my way to work...

Remember folks, the president has no control over gas prices*.

Regular gas prices just west of Austin, TX range from $3.099 to $3.299. Let's Go Brandon.

Southern Nevada

Reg  4.099

Mid  4.599

Premium 4.799

Diesel 3.999

This is the highest I have seen it in a few months.

Add a minimum of 40 cents a gallon in Las Vegas, 60 miles away.

We're at $3.99 town / $3.79 Costco in my neck of the woods. With Summer on the way, I only see it going higher at least through the 4th of July. Unless Brandon tries to buy votes by depleting the SPR even more before November.

It's actually been dropping a little bit here in Northern Virginia.

The Global is down to $3.39, and the Wawa is at $3.43.

Ouch. that's a pretty stiff jump.

Thank God Biden, who can't do anything about the price of gas, has a plan to keep the price of gas low this summer.
