I think they should all show up in togas
ALL the GOP senators should show up on the Senate floor wearing 'LET'S GO BRANDON" shirts - or better yet, hoodies.
I'm down for a Boebert v. AOC toga debate.
Lol, the exact same thing popped into my head when I read toga... It would be the highest rated cspan feed in history.
The Senate no longer enforcing a dress code for Senators to appease Fetterman is disgraceful. Dress code is one of society’s standards that set etiquette and respect for our institutions. Stop lowering the bar! — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) September 17, 2023
Aren’t you the one who did revenge porn in a hearing https://t.co/N3YBXcuIxz — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) September 18, 2023
Like many of us, Marjorie Taylor Greene was less than impressed with Chuck Schumer's change to the Senate's dress code. If John Fetterman can't bother to dress with some level of respect for the job he was elected to do how can anyone respect him?
... Staff still need to follow it.......
The democrat from Pennsylvania went on a three minute rant about his 'inability to fully process language' relating to his auditory disabilities stemming from a stroke he had prior to securing the Democratic nomination last year. 'Because I live in a political environment, I was ridiculed and made fun of because I wasn't able to process things at times,' he said as began to tear up in front of the panel. He began to tear up as he presented an app that allows him to 'fully participate in this meeting' and communicate with members of his family.
But Fetterman's offer comes with conditions. He said House Republicans must pass a government funding bill and support Ukraine in order for him to suit up."If those jagoffs in the House stop trying to shut our government down, and fully support Ukraine, then I will save democracy by wearing a suit on the Senate floor next week," Fetterman said Wednesday in a post on X.
I'm going as John Fetterman for Halloween.
Senate now has a formal dress code. Bipartisan passage as a thumb in the eye to both Fetterman and Chucky Schumer.https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/us-senate-unanimously-passes-formal-dress-code-following-backlash/ar-AA1hnea0
I am torn between being annoyed that the Senate is bothering with this crap instead of any of the actual issues in the US and being relieved that the Senate is bothering with this crap instead of passing some bill that will only make things worse.
