The largest medical malpractice verdict ever: $ 412 million
« on: November 28, 2024, 11:29:52 AM »
How much is the penis of a 66 year old man worth?

https://people.com/man-wins-record-breaking-payout-after-invasive-penile-injections-8753154

https://mustsharenews.com/injections-ruin-penis/

$ 37 million compensatory damages and $ 375 million punitive damages totalling $ 412 million.

I would expect this to be either overturned or substantially reduced upon appeal.  No one has this amount of insurance, so the clinic chain will either file bankruptcy or be seized and sold to satisfy the judgement.

The man went home with a medically induced erection that would not go away and required an emergency surgery. The surgery ended up being unsuccessful.

Probably waited too long to "seek help". Males, penes, and vanity go hand in hand. I believe most men would rather sit at home for 3 days with a stiffy rather than seek help because they had to use a pill or something to achieve an erection. By the time they seek help it is too late to make it all better.

I think the clinic will file bankruptcy and this guy will end up with little or nothing. I would call it a win if the clinic was forced to fold and never open again.

From the online ads for the first Deadpool movie...

If you experience an erection lasting more than 4 hours...

You're welcome!

Unfortunately, there appears to be a new business type based on catering to men who have (or who think they have) male problems. We recently permitted a male treatment clinic that, for most practical purposes, is a testosterone clinic. It's a local franchise of what seems to be  national or regional chain. The name of the business is GameDay. [?!?!]

https://gamedaymenshealth.com/

Yeah -- national:

https://gamedaymenshealth.com/location-finder/

The founder has a Ph.D. in behavioral health -- whatever that is. Looking over the web site, I don't see any mention of there being MDs, PAs, or even nurse practitioners on the staff of each location. That alone would tell me to stay away.

All of the commercials seem to be geared toward solving the ED issues of 20-30 somethings. I wonder what they will do when they hit their 60s and 70s and really have a problem? Hopefully they will have drugs for them at that point that are effective or else they may have to go to the  "pump it up baby" remedies. ;)

Most young men would find their ED problems solved by putting away (forever) the porn and engaging in relationships with real women.

So just to be clear, MillCreek has taught us that ED treatments will save us from getting dementia and get us paid enough to retire in luxury, we just won’t have any sex.

That sounds much like thin theory / personal opinion / stated as fact.

Tina Louise always did it for me, no theory.

Marginally safe for work, available on regular publicity photo spreads.  Call it a "Costumed Figure Study," just for high-falutin' professional polish purposes:

Tons of info/research out there on the effects of porn on young men.  Bear in mind it's a very different world from the daguerreotype porn you grew up consuming.

Ummm more like cave wall erotica.

I dast not post any images but some judicious searching will reveal that ancient erotica parallels any modern stuff except for modern imagery techniques.  Turn off your safe search.

It can probably be more realistically theorized that sexual imagery does not have a lot to do with either the advancement or retardation of human progress.

According to the first article in the OP, he went in for "fatigue and weight loss".
WTF does that have to do with ED???

The Fall Guy and the original Charlie's Angels were on syndication when I was growing up along with Giligan's Island.  I guess Wonder Woman was there as well.

I do think hard core porn is much easier to access these days and I do think there is a bit of a corrosive mental effect from spending too much time with it.  It is probably not quite the same for everyone.

First, with all of the ED ads I hear on the radio driving to and from work, I wonder if it was an unspoken issue in years gone by, or a symptom of something else in our modern world.

As for "adult entertainment," i remember working on a project years ago about myths of the internet, and asking the hive mind here if there was such a thing as free online pr0n, only to learn that it wasn't a myth as I thought, just not always easy to find.  Now, I see women online advertising their pr0n sites, and know the free sites are sometimes easier to access than some news and weather sites.  Makes me wonder...I'm not supposed to look too long at a woman or comment on her beauty, but for $19.99 I can watch a woman do whatever online.  What an interesting time to be alive.
No, I'm not mtnbkr.  ;)

She was a cartoon.
I agree with HeroHog - Dawn Wells !!
  =D

ETA: Considering how partial I am to redheads, I'll go0 back even further than Dawn Wells - Rhonda Fleming, Maureen O'Hara (!!), Ann-Margret, Piper Laurie, and more recently, Barbara Rhodes, and Gates McFadden.

Notice who's missing?

The reason Lucille Ball is not on my list is that, except for "Yours, Mine, & Ours", I couldn't stand her voice, esp. when she would start that "wailing" !
