Harmeet Dhillon is Assistant Attorney General of DOJ Civil Rights Division which is investigating restrictive 2A laws in CA and other states and she is part of AG Pam Bondi's DOJ 2A Task Force in response to Executive Order on Second Amendment - https://armedpolitesociety.com/index.php?topic=70249.msg1472068#msg1472068

Attended my second meeting of the Second Amendment Task Force at @TheJusticeDept. It's a working group of highly motivated attorneys from different federal law enforcement agencies including several within DOJ.

Gun rights are civil rights. Stay tuned!

Definitely will be following 2A Task Force updates.

BUT this is VERY INTERESTING ... [popcorn] [popcorn] [popcorn]

I hope people grasp what a big deal this is.

The Biden Administration was pursuing bans on common rifles and magazines, among other gun control, as a way to "increase faith in democracy and government." It's dystopian.

And it's an admission that they saw the Second Amendment as not a right to be protected, but a threat to their vision of the country.

Despite AG Pam Bondi's press releases and media interviews expressing full support of 2A to carry out Executive Order on Second Amendment, there's been continued anti-2A actions.  These two videos explain anti-2A holdovers from Biden administration are likely behind these anti-2A actions.

If so, AG Pam Bondi needs to "clean house" faster and reverse their actions.

We are seeing many actions by DOJ/ATF that is inconsistent with Executive Order on Second Amendment and press releases by AG Pam Bondi.  Perhaps I could consider these actions by Biden-era/Anti-2A bureaucrats to be reeled in/reversed by new ATF Chief Counsel and subsequent staff but we are watching closely what is unfolding before everyone's eyes.

Here's one pro-2A action of Biden-era/anti-2A bureaucrats reeled in/reversed by Pam Bondi DOJ.

After GOA/FRAC sent letter to drop new charge by DOJ designating braced CZ Scorpion both pistol and SBR, DOJ drops charge - https://armedpolitesociety.com/index.php?topic=70249.msg1472148#msg1472148

This is good and I am sure more pro-2A "actions" to come from Pam Bondi DOJ.

... growing really curious what is contained in AG Pam Bondi's report as to exactly when/how ACTIONS will be taken to fulfill 2A EO. [popcorn] [popcorn] [popcorn]

So ... AG Pam Bondi's report in response to Executive Order on the Second Amendment was done and already reported to the President?  And we are starting to see the ACTIONS taken outlined in the report?  [popcorn] [popcorn] [popcorn]

As per the executive order, AG Pam Bondi had to report her recommendations to President Trump himself. There was no duty to make the report public. I suspect the effects of the report will be seen soon (in fact we are already seeing its effects in various ways).

Another relist of Snope/Ocean State Tactical cases (11 relists and counting) - https://armedpolitesociety.com/index.php?topic=70249.msg1472456#new

At this point, I am thinking Supreme Court is waiting for Duncan case which is magazine ban case with 9th Circuit en banc merits decision because Ocean State Tactical magazine ban case is interlocutory.
Then the Supreme Court could review Snope and Duncan both with merits decision ... [popcorn]

This is good.  I am pleased to see something happening.  As I repeatedly said above, a decent start would be to just stop the actions they were still activly pursuing.  It appears our assigned Fed passed my feedback up the chain.

Additionally, they apparently fired the ATF Assistant Director. Considering the interm Director is still SECARMY (as far as I know) I wonder who is in charge of day-to-day dog extermination.

🚨UPDATE🚨

ATF Assistant Director Megan Bennett has been fired, Ammoland News reports. Bennett & her department:

❌Gave former ATF Director Dettlebach a "ghost gun" as a retirement gift.

❌Ignored a legal injunction & forbade a GOA member from attaching a brace to his pistol.

Yes and probably less and less concern for "enforcement" as exodus turns into a dumpster fire panic ... While gun toting LEOs of ATF are tracking down illegal criminals and gang bangers with FBI ... =D

BREAKING: Reports are coming out that the DOJ just scrapped billions of dollars worth of taxpayer-funded anti-gun grant programs.

These grants, pushed through under the so-called Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, were already in motion.

They've been canceled for not "aligning with the administration’s priorities".

We are looking further into this.

$695k for “a parallel convergent mixed-methods case study research design to assess the efficacy of police departments’ LGBTQ liaison services”

$250k for “working with incarcerated transgender individuals providing gender affirming care to including housing in gender appropriate facilities”

Hey @DOGE, these illegal @NIH grants need to be canceled ASAP⤵️

- $3.6M for “firearm retirement” for senior citizens
- $1.2M for “check-ins” on "guns at home"
- $2.1M to study “firearm possession" by Asian Americans
- $1.1M on “gun ownership and risk"
- $650K on “firearm prohibitions and relinquishment"
- $333K to “promote effective” gun confiscation laws & wait periods
- $428K on how “crime reports… reinforce racist stereotypes”
- $518K on “firearm storage” & confiscation laws
- $490K to compare states' "gun policies"
- $349K to show if "firearm laws reduce mortality"
- $126K on "Black Americans' elevated gun violence exposure"

These grants violate the Dickey Amendment which says that CDC and NIH money may not be used "to advocate or promote gun control."
